Americans have been drawn to the theaters for as long as cinema has existed, seeking distraction from the outside world, community, or anything else. Even in the darker moments of history, movie-going has sustained. The coronavirus pandemic has made movie-going in the conventional sense impossible, but at the Coolidge Corner Theater, the spirit of the cinema has lived on thanks to unique and innovative changes.
